The length of teeth straightening treatment varies depending on the appliance you choose and how far your teeth have to move. Most cases take between 6 and 18 months to complete, although more complex straightening can take longer.
The best brace system for you depends on your clinical needs, budget and preferences. Clear aligners are ideal if you don’t want your braces to be visible in your mouth and prefer not to change your lifestyle. Fixed braces are best suited to patients who prefer the ease of an appliance that stays attached to their teeth throughout treatment, reducing the risk of loss or breakage.
Clear aligners are discreet, removable mouth trays that exert pressure on your teeth to bring them into the desired alignment. They allow you to clean your teeth and eat without restrictions during treatment. Fixed braces are attached to the front surface of your teeth for the duration of treatment, constantly working to move your teeth. They are best suited for more complex cases.
